Mission Statement

Basilica of Immaculate Conception, the historic first Catholic Church of Jacksonville.

This is a sacred place of worship. Here, upon the Altar, heaven meets earth during the Holy Sacrifice of theMass. Ever aware of this, it is our mission to ensure and sustain an environment where reverent liturgy, sacred music, beautiful art, and constant prayer quiets the noise of the outside world and connects us to the Divine so that we may give Him due praise and thanksgiving.

VISION STATEMENT

To accomplish our mission, to build upon the foundation first established in 1854, and to perpetuate our Roman Catholic heritage in downtown Jacksonville, the Parish strives to accomplish the following:
To provide Parishioners, visitors and members of the downtown community with a place of worship, praise, and meditation that is maintained and preserved for future generations.
To offer spiritual, economic, and emotional support to the poor and others in need by sharing our gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
To support a variety of Religious Educational Programs for children and adults.
To recognize and support the work of our pastor and visiting priests they administer the sacraments and shepherd community.
To foster a spirit of genuine welcome and hospitality for the benefit of all.

MASS TIMES
Mon-Sat - 7:30am and 12:10pm
Sunday - 10am, 12pm, and 2pm (in Spanish)
Confessions are heard everyday 30 min prior to Mass.
Mass on Sat at 12:10pm fulfills Sunday obligation.
