RCIA Website

The R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a parish-based program both for the unbaptized seeking to become Catholic and for those already baptized who are seeking full communion with Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. It is also a wonderful program for those who desire a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith. RCIA classes begin in September and run through Pentecost. Click on the “RCIA Website” link above or on the home page for the starting date and the calendar for RCIA. Classes are held Sundays at 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the Immaculata Hall. Music Program

Immaculate Conception Church’s music program is large and varied and includes four choirs. The Young Adults perform at the 8 a.m Mass, the Children perform at the 10 a.m. Mass, the Adult choir handles the noon Mass and the Spanish choir performs at the 2 p.m. Mass. All groups are always seeking new members. The adult choir has performed with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and elements of the Orchestra frequently augment the musical selections during mass.

The Pipe Organ

The organ is a electro-pneumatic (formerly tracker) Pipe III-30 Hutchins 1908 Cabinet Work by the great Ernest Skinner.

St. Francis Soup Kitchen

Immaculate Conception operates the St. Francis Soup Kitchen. Clothing tickets are distributed at 7:00am and clothing is given out from 8:00am to 10:00am. Lunch is served from 10:00am to 1:00pm on average we feed more than 900 people during our days of operation.

We are located at 134 East Church Street in the Providence Center Building at the corner of Church and Newnan Streets just to the east of the Church. The soup kitchen has been in operation without interruption since July 4, 1979. Since opening, we have also expanded our services to include clothing for the less fortunate. We operate fully with volunteers and donations. If you would like to volunteer or donate food or clothing, please contact us at (904) 356-2902 or (904) 359-0331.

La oficina apostolado hispano esta localizada en el edificio, “Providence Center” al este de la iglesia. La oficina esta abierto de lunes a viernes 8:30 – 4:30.
